High Road Eastcote Middlesex England

Class A Tree Betula pendula

Class B Tree Robinia psuedoacacia

(For Mitre Investments)

We are frequently asked to undertake tree surveys around development sites to assess their health and amenity value. Recommendations for remedial treeworks are made. Trees are digitally plotted on bases and attributes such as diameter at brest height, age, canopy spread, root zone protection area and classifications from A-D according to BS 5837: Trees in relation to Construction (2005), are recorded.

We consult with local authority tree officers to assess their requirements and to locate trees covered by tree preservation orders. We produce method statements for tree protection during siteworks as required. The site plan is accompanied by an excel spreadsheet that list numbered trees with their attributes. Recommendations are made to retain trees where possible and site layouts can be adjusted accordingly. Examples of survey plans and site photographs are shown on this page.

The Warren Radlett Hertfordshire England

Class A Tree Cedrus atlantica

(For Prowting Homes Central Ltd)

The tree survey we carried out in Radlett was on a sloping site so that contours were plotted along with the spots levels. Trees are sensitive to changes of level so retaining generous root protection zones around these trees was crucial.

The site contains a number of mature tress whose retention and protection were felt highly desirable. Tree protection details were produced to conform with the requirements of BS 5837 and an example of one on these is illustrated below.
