Landscape and ecological
masterplan of course

(For Brampton Park Golf Club/ Stonecheck developments)

We were commissioned by the golf club to produce a landscape management plan for this course in Huntingdon. This was a requirement of the local authority as a condition for approval of a planning application for a new driving range located at the south east of the course.

We considered the range of habitat types and put forward tree planting proposals to enrich the ecological diversity and landscape setting of the course. In addition we produced detailed planting and layout plans for the new driving range whose position needed to take account of existing planting and water features. We consulted with local authority officers and who approved our management plan and gave planning consent for the new driving range.

The masterplan and the detailed planting plans are shown opposite and below.

Extract from planting plan for chipping
green and clubhouse extension

(For Stockley Park Golf Club)

We were commissioned by the golf club to produce a planting and landscape plan for the extension of the existing club house and for the development of a chipping green next to the club house. This was a requirement of the local authority so that planning consent could be obtained for the extension of the club house at a location sensitive to the local landscape.

The planting was designed to complement the existing styles of planting prevalent throughout the course whiles also providing a practical configuration that would enhance the setting of the clubhouse whilst not interfering the free play of the golfing game.
